Some of the most pressing issues facing hospitals during this pandemic is a shortage of personal protective equipment for our healthcare workers, and life-saving equipment, like ventilators, for our patients. In response to this issue, rapid response teams around the world are assembling volunteer teams of engineers, physicians, computer scientists, and other individuals in the making space to develop safe, inexpensive alternatives for emergency use.
